Almost all behavioral issues that people encounter with horses stem from anxiety in the horse, whether it is outward, spooky anxiety, or shutdown, dissociative anxiety.  This could be anything from being hard to catch all the way up to rearing, bucking, and bolting.

This one-day Masterclass format will feature Warwick Schiller, discussing matters such as:

– What causes anxiety in horses
– What you can do to help them resolve it
– What you can do to help yourself feel better when you are anxious

These subjects will explore topics such as:

– Mammalian nervous systems with a focus on Polyvagal Theory
– Anxiety
– Shutdown
– Brain science
– Myth-busting many common myths and dogma about horse behavior and many common horse training practices that actually cause anxiety.

Warwick will work with horses on both ends of the anxiety spectrum. From the outwardly fixated, highly alert horse, that can’t keep its feet still type to the horse whose anxiety is so overwhelming that they dissociate/go internal. These horses will be sourced prior to the event.
